Whitesunday Youth Camp

The See More Ways Whitsunday Youth Sailing & Cultural Connection Camp is a structured five-day therapeutic adventure program using sailing, marine activities, teamwork, cultural learning and reflective practice to help young people build confidence, resilience, responsibility, connection and practical life skills.

Rather than operating as a recreational holiday, the yacht becomes a floating learning environment. Young people participate in navigation, sailing, meal preparation, vessel routines, teamwork, environmental stewardship, goal-setting and guided reflection.

The program is designed particularly for young people who may benefit from intensive relationship-based engagement outside traditional service settings, including young people involved with residential care, Child Safety, youth support services or disability supports.

Queensland's Child Safe Standards apply to organisations providing services specifically for children, so the camp should be incorporated into See More Ways' existing safeguarding framework rather than run as a separate informal activity.
